The title of the lecture: Tracking Cancer Across Species: Data, Environment, and the One Health Connection
Biographical note: Chiara Palmieri is an ECVP Diplomate and Professor in Veterinary Pathology at the School of Veterinary Science (SVS) of the University of Queensland (UQ). She has a specific research interest in small animal oncology, in particular canine prostate cancer, cancer data/registration/coding and veterinary oncoepidemiology. She is leader of the first Australian veterinary cancer registry (ACARCinom), past President of the Australian Society for Veterinary Pathology, member of the VCGP steering committee and co-coordinator of the Global Initiative for Veterinary Cancer Surveillance (GIVCS) committee for the establishment of international standards of veterinary cancer registration. Within UQ SVS, she has been postgraduate coursework coordinator, HDR coordinator and Director of Research. She is now coordinator of the DVClinSc program (combined residency and research program) and coordinator of the residency program in veterinary pathology.
