Giulia Guerriero is Full Professor of Comparative Anatomy, Cell Biology and Developmental Biology at the University of Naples Federico II, where she directs the Interdepartmental Research Centre on the Environment (C.I.R.AM.). Her research focuses on the oxidant-antioxidant balance in physiological defences, steroid receptors in reproduction, and DNA barcoding for species-specific molecular responses, with ongoing studies on the impacts of climate change on reproductive health. She plays a key role in international academic cooperation as Coordinator of the MUNA Coordinators’ Council and General Chair of the MedLIFE Conference, developing multilateral programmes and promoting mobility between Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
